Nope, it's not wax, but if that was your first thought then my mission's accomplished! By strategically mixing and applying acrylic paint over a very textured surface,  I transform high grade custom made wooden handled steak knives into what looks like beautiful, overly dripped candlesticks. The texturing process adds strength and provides a better grip! Spar-urethane is applied 6+  times for waterproofing and UV protection however as with all wooden utensils; Do Not Soak/HandWash Only.  Most Unique Gift EVER!!
